Geico Honda controls Supercross Lites Championships!

The Geico Honda team and Pro Circuit have always had a rivarly when it comes to the lites class. These past couple years have been nothing but great racing and battles from both teams.

Last year we had the famous Barcia-Wilson battle on the east coast, but this year Wilson made the switch to West coast and Barcia seemed to have no problem defending his East Coast Championship again!

This year we had another Wilson battle but against Barcia's teammate Tomac! It was great racing and the points were close until this weekend at Salt Lake when Wilson was riding with an injured shoulder, he went down before the finish line and rode of the track, Tomac didn't know it but when he crossed the finish line at the checkered flag he had won the West Coast Lites Championship!

CONGRATS TO BOTH ELI TOMAC AND JUSTIN BARCIA FOR THEIR HARDWORK AND DETERMINATION TO WIN THESE CHAMPIONSHIPS!!

Seattle SX: Dungey back, Lites title craze, hard-working Veteran racers

This year has by far produced the craziest SX season in a long time. I cannot remember the last time we had to many highs and lows in one season.

This weekend in Seattle was no different, in fact the craziness started on the first lap of the main event! Everything looked good for Villipoto, considering it was his hometown race, but things suddenly took a turn for the worse on the first lap he tried making a pas on Millsaps and ended up going over the bars and favoring his left knee along with getting a handlebar to the gut. While it was a bad ending for Villipoto, Andrew Short and Ken Roczen were pulling away out front. Dungey seemed to be off the pace and had a couple mishaps during the main. When the checkered flag flew, Andrew Short came away with the win! Roczen, who is racing the KTM 350, came in second with Weimer finishing out the podium. Dungey would come back after a crash to finish sixth. Since the Championship is already claimed by Villipoto there is no reason for this races to cause him a scare.

However, in the West Coast lites championship, Tomac and Wilson came into Seattle separated by ONE point! yes only one point, since the last west coast race took out Tomac and let Wilson win which ultimately led him to lead the series by ONE point. Coming into the race Tomac was ready to win and Wilson was ready to try and keep the red plate. When the main event gate dropped it was the lites class veteran, Ryan Sipes, who got out to the front and left Tomac and Wilson battling for second place. Bars were banging and I believe you could say there were some "aggressive" passes by both riders. Wilson would push Tomac off the track and Tomac would come back and ultimately came in for a pass which ended up with them bumping and Wilson going down. Tomac then had his hands full with KTM's Marvin Musquin, who would in the end pass him for second leaving Tomac to finish out the podium in third. Wilson would regain himself to finish seventh in the main, but losing valuable points in the championship to Tomac. Now Eli Tomac leads Dean Wilson by 4 points as they come into Salt Lake City, Utah next weekend.

Whose ready for two more crazy supercross races?! I know I am. I can't wait to see the West Coast championship wind down, and sorry to say but I'd love for Eli Tomac to win it! (I'm a geico honda fan for sure)

Then its off to Hangtown in May for the start of outdoors! Picks for outdoors? do you think RV2 will runaway with this championship too or will Dungey or someone else give him a run for it?

Let me know what you all are thinking!

It's good to be back - Steel City

I'm so glad the PAMX series has started and that this weekends race was close enough for me to go to and still get home at a decent hour! So glad motocross season in PA is back underway, I have missed going to the races all winter!

Even without a Supercross race this weekend, mine has been filled with motocross! the PAMX racers took to Steel City this Easter weekend (the race was held Saturday instead of Sunday) which was alright with me considering my Saturday was free. I was up and about at 6 a.m. to catch a ride with my neighbor, Noah who races in 250 B. The sun was shining but the wind was blowing (and it was cold) but everyone didn't seem to mind when the racing began. 250 A and Open A had some great battles with Chad Sanner's boys, Nicoletti and Slusser, as well as McDade, Roman, Newcome and Ritter getting into the mix.

Slusser (558) got the holeshot and tried to keep Nicoletti (715) and McDade (/200) behind him as long as he could!

Roman (731) got bumped around in the first corner but came back to pass everyone including Newcome (467) and finish fourth in 250 A's first moto.

There was intense racing in every class today, 250 B had a wopping 31 racers sign up! and 250 C had to have two divisions and an LCQ to determine what riders would race in the motos.

250 B's leader was Joey Deneen (22)
My Neighbor Noah Vislosky held on to 14th - 15th finishes to get a 13th overall.
This is an accomplishment to me! The kid has only raced 3 races in the past year after breaking his back at High Point on mothers day last year. He's practically my little brother and so I have to give him props for even getting back on the back after last year <3

Well next week PAMX is heading to Pittsburgh Raceway Park! Should make for some more interesting battles, hopefully the weather is sunny again for some great pictures :)

And we can't forget that SX is back next week! Don't miss the New Orleans Supercross race to see if the Champ Villipoto can get another win or if someone else will get to shine (since he has already won the 2012 SX championship).
